users are expected to work with one size of mouse designed for an average
adult. For children and those with smaller
hands this one size solution can lead to discomfort and make the learning
process more difficult to master.
At Tiny-hands we've brought together a range of mouse and mouse accessories
specifically designed to give greater control over the computer environment
to people with smaller hands, whether they are working alone or under
supervision.
The Health and Safety Executive have stated that 'intensive mouse
work can give rise to aches and pains: indeed, the risk may be greater
than from a keyboard because use of a mouse concentrates on one hand
and on one or two fingers. Small hands may find it difficult stretching
and reaching the buttons on the mouse. A child sized scaled-down mouse
may help to overcome this problem'.
The range currently consists of THREE types of mouse in SIX great colours
and a special mouse splitter which gives dual control while teaching
or aiding a child.
